A Purple Rose

It's so nice to get back to making cards again. Here's one I made last night, the rose is actually a deep purple even though it's showing as more blue. I'm entering this in 2 challenges:
Flutter By Wednesday - color challenge
The ABC challenge - G is for glitter

Sweet Tooth

I haven't made a card or entered a challenge in what seems like ages, I know it's only been a few weeks but I'm glad I was able to make a couple last night. I'm entering this card at Cupcake Craft for the sweet tooth challenge.

a card for my sister

My oldrer sister celebrated a milestone just recently so I made her this card. Her favorite colors are purple and green, the flower is one I bought at my local scrapbook store. I used the Flourish Frame folder to emboss with....is it upside down? I just recently saw a card with it the other way so now I'm not sure, LOL! Is there a right way? I made her a matching box too. I found the georgous paper at our local dollar store and fell in love with it.

Celebrating Madison's 2nd Birthday

Madison has turned 2! Where have the last 2 years gone? They've gone by too fast for me. We had a family gathering to celebrate her birthday. At first she didn’t really know what was going on! Everyone was picking her up and saying Happy Birthday and how old are you now, LOL! But once she started opening her presents.....well she thought that was pretty neat. And when her Barbie Doll birthday cake came out she knew it was all about her, LOL! Here are just a few photos I took.
Princess Madison, not too sure what's going on, LOL!

Cuttlebug Spot Challenge

My friend Donna was telling me about the Cuttlebug Spot Challenge. Their challenge is to make a card for Breast Cance Awareness. This is my card. The embossing folder I used was devine swirl. I was surfng the web the other night and found a blog Having An Art Attack that had the instructions for making the rose. The rose was pretty easy to make, I've made mine smaller to fit my card. I used stickles to give it some glitter. The white swirls I cut with my Cricut using the Wedding Solution cartridge. The stamp ($1.50) is from Michaels as is the ribbon. The breast cancer symbol I bought at Michaels too.
