a new grandbaby

We just became great-grandparents this past Friday. Our granddaughter had a little baby girl. We get to meet her sometime next week. Here's the card I made and my cousin was kind enough to make this beautiful baby outfit.

Get Well Wishes

My son just had surgery on Tuesday. It went well and he's home from the hospital now. This is his Get Well card from his mama (that's me!)

When I went to deliver my donated Christmas cards to one of my local nursing homes I ask if there were any residents having a milestone birthday and if there were I would love to make a card for said person. There happen to be a fellow who would be celebrating 101 years soon. Isn't that amazing, wow. His eyesight isn't what it used to be so I made the card with that in mind. Embossing it with a chevron pattern, heat embossing the Happy Birthday, using my Cricut for the 101 and adding the brads for texture. I think I went a little overboard on distressing the ship but I still like the effect.
Here's another Christmas card. The image is a freebie from Beccy's Place, I used the Snowflake embossing folder from Cuttlebug and the Merry Christmas stamp is from SU

A Memorial for my sister

my youngest sister passed away a few years ago and although we had a memorial service for her, we never dealt with her ashes. So a few weeks ago we gathered at our home and had another (smaller) memorial service for her and buried her ashes under our butterfly tree.....I think she'll be very happy there.
