clean and simple was the challenge at Crafty Cardmakers. I like trying to keep it clean and simple because I'm one who loves to add lots of embellishments, so this was a great challenge for me, LOL!

A Pretty Envelope

I seem to be using alot of blues and pinks in my cards lately...don't know why, I just like how it goes together. I used bashful blue stampin up ink to distress the envelope. I'm entering this at Stamptacular Sunday for their "distress it" challenge.

I had so much fun making this envelope card. Haven't made one in a few years, lol. The flowers are a free digi from Marjie's Malarkies. I've colored them with pencil crayons then used OMS to blend. I've sponged around the outside with pixie pink stampin up ink. I'm entering this at Paper Sundaes for the challenge to use mixed mediums.

Pretty Pink Dress

I was going through some of my papers the other night and found this dress image. It's very simple but elegant at the same time and just had to find a challenge to use it for. 2 Sketches 4 You was that challenge, simple but elegant....

I love butterflies

I adore butterflies and use them every chance I get, LOL! Anyways I'm entering this at Inspirational Card Sketches for the sketch.

WISH

I've used the bleached effect on this card (just above the WISH) and think it turned out quite well. I stamped the image with VersaMark, used white glitter then heat embossed it. It's only the second time I've tried this so tell me what you think. The stamp is one I bought at Michaels for $1.50, I also bought the ribbon there too. I bought the gems at our local dollar store. I used the d vine embossing folder. I'm entering this into 2 challenges:

Celebrate

Crafty Creations has a challenge to use white plus one color. I chose to use blue. I've embossed the top and bottom with one of the frills border set, punched a few flowers and made a butterfly. The other challenge I'm entering this in is Saturday Challenge for a clean and simple card.

A quick update on the kids

Well I haven’t made any cards for the last few days. We’ve had a couple of our grandchildren come to stay for a few days. A couple of weeks ago our darling 22 month old granddaughter Madison came for 4 days. Then the following week our sweet 7 almost 8 year old Thomas came for 4 days. After that we travelled up north (to Chase & Lac le Jeune) to visit my sister and go to my great nephew Adams’ first birthday. The following are some photos we took...
