This weeks cards

Here's a little card for a friend of mine.
I love the color combo

This is a layered rose card, my
scissoring (is that a word, LOL)
skills are getting better.

I made this for a Sorority Sister whose
hubby is ill

2 swap cards

Here are a couple of cards I made for a swap I entered.
The 1st is a shadow box and the 2nd I crinkled some
tissue paper to make the background effect.

Goodies Bags

here's a few of the goodies bags I made for the gals in my Sorority Chapter. I filled them with jelly beans and chocolate hearts.

Valentine Cards 2009

Hi everyone,
I've been busy making Valentine cards. Below are a few that I've just finished.
The first one is for my hubby, Ted.

This is one of my favorites. I love the color combo, you could use it as a birthday card too.

Most of the elements on the next 2 are using my cricut machine. I've been trying to use it alot more than I have been. I have a number of cartridges and last fall hubby bought my the jukebox. It's great to use. I also have the cricut design studio on my computer, but haven't had the courage tried it yet. LOL! Hope you enjoy these. Now I'm going to do some blog hopping to see what others are doing. Have a great day!.......hugs, Valerie

this one I design the blocks by using word document using the insert shape button and coloring in the blocks with 3 different shades of pink. The hearts are small foamies.

blog candy galore

Hi everyone,
I've entered the cuttlebug challenge and have been blog hopping off and on all day long. Whew...I'm exhasuted. I had great fun and saw some wonderful blogs. These ladies are really talented.
Anyways, I came across 2 that are giving away blog candy.
The first is at BettyBee'sBuzz and the 2nd is at Amber's. So head on over and join in the fun!
hugs, Valerie
Hi everyone,
Here are a few cards that I made a last weekend and now that I'm blogging, thought I'd give loading pictures and blogging at the same time a try. It hasn't been easy and it's taken me a very long time to do! Whew, but it's done....for now. I was going to add some of the Valentine cards but I think I'll wait for a bit, need to have a cup of tea before I tackle this again, LOL
hugs, Valerie

I mentioned in an earlier post that I really enjoyed watching Dawn's tutorials. I saw this and just had to try it. I'm a girly girl and love pretty dresses, shoes, purses.... and it seems I'm into blues right now.

This is a double flap card, again from Dawn's tutorial. I like how this turned out, but I think next time I'd use smaller brads, it's a bit stiff to open.

This is called a secret panel card that I made for my grandson, Sebastian.

I got the idea from Dawn's tutorial. It's not made exactly like I watched on the video. By using her measurements I just could not get mine to work, (sorry Dawn!) so I made it bigger and I'm happy how it turned out. And I'm sure my grandson will love it.

this is as you open the card...

this is the 'secret panel' middle of the card

this is the inside back
